My mom says she supports gay/lesbian couples but says “I’m glad you’re straight, I couldn’t handle my kid being like that”
Backhanded support hurts just as much as any other insult. Just because it’s not me that trans or lesbian doesn’t mean it’s not someone else that comes into the house.
